Gateway Travel was started as a standard travel agency in 1971 by George Littell, Jr. in the town of Winchester Massachusetts, a suburb about 7 miles northwest of Boston. Over the years he branched out to do Tours, primarily focusing on the “mature” traveller. Over the years he’s seen lots of changes come and go, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the thought that people want a good value for their money. That doesn’t always mean the lowest price. If you are looking for a “bare bones” trip, this isn’t the company for you. We don’t want or need the headaches that come from doing cheap trips. That doesn’t mean however that our trips are overly expensive, just that we try to do trips the way we would want them done for us, were we the ones taking the trip.
